Installation - top
First of all, you need to install this plugin in order to use it. To install the plugin, follow these steps:
- Go to "Plugins" page in your WordPress admin panel.
- Click "Installed Plugins" and click "Add New".
- Click "Upload Plugin".
- Find "instagramfeed.zip" on your computer and click "Install Now".
- After the installation is completed, click "Activate Plugin".
Plugin Location - top
After an installation, the plugin will be located on the Instagram Feed page of your WordPress admin panel. Find it there and customize available settings.
Entering Access Token - top
The first and most important option is to enter your Instagram Account Access Token. Only after connecting your Instagram Account with the plugin via Access Token, you will be able to display your Instagram photos on your site. You can generate your Access Token here: https://instagram.pixelunion.net
You will need the login details to generate the Access Token. After generating the Token, just copy and paste it into the "Instagram Access Token" field and click "Save Changes" to save it.
Shortcode - top
Once you enter your Access Token, you can start using the plugin straight away. Just copy and paste shortcode [instagram-feed] into the page, post, widget or anywhere else where you want your feed to appear.
Main Options - top
If you are not satisfied with the default style of the plugin, you can customize colors, sizes, corner radius of all the elements, etc. You can also change the number of columns in the feed.
Load More Button Options - top
You can also customize the style of the "Load More" Button which appears under your feed and reveals more photos. If you don't need this button, you can also hide it.
That's it! Your Instagram Feed is now displayed on your site.
What if Feed Stops Working? - top
Instagram might ask you to generate the new Access Token from time to time. If the feed stops working on your site, simply generate the new Access Token and re-enter it into the plugin options.
